Why FreeAudioTrim was started

FreeAudioTrim was created by Junaid Arfin, a video production professional with hands-on experience in client videos, interviews, social media content, subtitles, and production workflows, especially across the Gulf and Saudi market.

The project started from a repeated production problem:

Transcription and subtitles were slower, more expensive, and more frustrating than they needed to be.

In real production work, small tasks often became unnecessary bottlenecks:

• Turning interviews into editable text
• Creating subtitles for client videos
• Preparing Arabic and English subtitle versions
• Extracting audio from video
• Trimming recordings before review
• Converting files before sending them to editors, writers, or clients

Built without a traditional coding background

FreeAudioTrim did not start as a traditional software company.

The project was started by a production professional, not a software developer. There was no formal coding background at the beginning, only a real workflow problem, a clear need, and the belief that the process could be simpler.

The website was built through learning, testing, AI-assisted development, trial and error, and continuous improvement.

The first goal was not to build a large SaaS platform.

The first goal was much simpler: build one useful tool that solves one real problem.

From there, the project grew naturally. Audio trimming led to audio conversion. Audio conversion led to extracting audio from video. Transcription led to subtitle export. Subtitle export led to translation workflows. Voice cleanup and audio preparation became part of the broader creator workflow.
